Buffalo Bills tight end Dawson Knox broke his right hand in the 34-31 Monday Night Football loss to the Tennessee Titans, according to NFL Network's Mike Garofolo. However, that didn't stop him from completing a 2-point conversion pass to Josh Allen late in the third quarter that put the Bills up 31-24.

Allen apparently tried to call the play off, but he was denied by Knox:

“That’s why we love him.”

Garofolo reports the injury timeline is to be determined. The hope is he won't miss much time, though the Bills are now facing a Week 7 bye and then have some cupcake games after that. The next game is on Halloween afternoon against the struggling Miami Dolphins. After that are matchups against the Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Jets, so these are all games Buffalo should be able to win handily regardless of Knox's status.

Knox has had a terrific start to the 2021 season after a rather nondescript first two years in the NFL. The tight end already has five touchdown receptions, matching his total from the first two seasons combined. He also has 21 catches for 286 yards.

Despite Monday night's loss, the Bills are still a dominant team that should be viewed as one of the Super Bowl favorites. Let's just hope Dawson Knox isn't out for too long.
