Earlier this week, Buffalo Bills wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin dodged a huge bullet as an MRI on his injured right knee injury did not reveal any ligament damage.

That's the great news. At the same time, it doesn't mean the receiver is operating around without still being injured.

According to Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk, Benjamin is currently considered questionable for Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Benjamin was given a questionable designation on the team’s final injury report of the week due to the knee injury he suffered early in last Sunday’s loss to the Chargers. That was Benjamin’s second game with the team as he did not play in a Thursday night game in Week Two that kicked off a couple of days after he was acquired in a trade with the Panthers.

Although the Bills have given him the questionable designation, the team will likely take the precautionary route with the injury. Benjamin is expected to become a big piece of the puzzle moving forward that could lead to Buffalo holding him out in order to avoid any setbacks.

He had suffered the injury early in last Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers after he received a hit directly to his knee. It was just his second appearance with the Bills since being acquired just prior to the trade deadline from the Carolina Panthers.

If he's unable to play against the Chiefs, expect rookie Zay Jones and Jordan Matthews to take up more prominent roles in the passing game.
