The Buffalo Bills fell to 2-4 following their loss to the Houston Texans in week 6. Unfortunately, it appears quarterback Josh Allen's status is up in the air moving forward.

Allen suffered an elbow injury during the 13-20 loss. According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, head coach Sean McDermott has officially labeled him as week-to-week:

Bills coach Sean McDermott refers to rookie QB Josh Allen (elbow) as being week-to-week and said “we’ll see” if he can play in Week 7. Obviously, it doesn’t sound like that’s expected. But should know more later in the week.

The update is rather vague. However, there should be more clarification on his status once the team has practice. His level of activity in the upcoming sessions could give a better picture of what to expect in Week 7.

Needless to say, Josh Allen has had a rough time as of late. Not only is he dealing with an injury, but he also made headlines for his interaction with wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin prior to the game. Reports suggest that Benjamin flat-out declined Allen's offer to work on routes pre-game. However, the former has since denied it ever happening.

Regardless, Allen's potential absence would deal a blow to this Bills offense. Although he has largely struggled over the last few weeks, there is no question that he is the best option on their roster. While his numbers may be nothing to brag about, the rookie has shown some serious flashes of playmaking ability and it seems he has started to find his footing at the next level.
