The Toronto Raptors fell just short of the NBA Finals, but it was still the best season in their franchise's history. After a number years of falling in the first round, they finally broke through to the Conference Finals.

But, moving forward, there's a lot of uncertainty with the roster. General manager Masai Ujiri admitted that it won't be easy to keep both DeMar DeRozan and Bismack Biyombo on board, saying that they'll need to get very creative to make it happen.

In Biyombo's case, the Raptors might get a break from the big man. When asked if he would consider taking a hometown discount to stay in Toronto, the Congolese center said that money isn't the only factor in his decision; it's a possibility.

From Andrew Walker of Sportsnet 590 The Fan:

“Honestly I do (expect to be back in Toronto next season).

“It can always be worked out. When the right moment comes I'd be open to figuring out something. I think we have some unfinished business.”

Early reports indicate that Biyombo could garner up to $16 million a year after his stellar postseason. If the Raptors are able to keep DeRozan, Biyombo will have to take much less to stay.

He's not the kind of guy to fill up the scoring column, but his rebounding and defensive prowess were vital to the Raptors winning both Game 3 and Game 4 against the eventual conference champion Cavaliers.

A number of contenders would benefit greatly from his presence in the lineup. Luckily for Toronto, they have the “home-court advantage” here.
