The Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday in the first-ever NBA play-in game.

The Blazers will now face the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the 2020 NBA playoffs.

Damian Lillard led the Blazers with 31 points, while CJ McCollum chipped in 29, including a huge fourth quarter. Carmelo Anthony hit the game-sealing shot in the end and now we get a seven-game series between Portland and the Lakers.

Los Angeles will be the betting favorite to win the series with LeBron James and Anthony Davis leading the way. However, Lillard is the hottest player on the planet right now and the Blazers have positive momentum going into the playoffs.

The Lakers, meanwhile, were pretty sluggish during the seeding games. James and Davis will have to play better for Los Angeles to avoid the upset.

The Lakers and Blazers faced each other three times this season, with Los Angeles going 2-1. With no fans at Orlando, the Lakers don't have home-court advantage and will have to truly outplay the Blazers to win this series. All the pressure will be on James and the Lakers to win since they are the No. 1 seed in the West. Lillard and Co. will be able to play freely since they have nothing to lose.
