CJ McCollum has been outspoken about the trend in the NBA of superteams. He faced a backlash after calling ring chasing “disgusting” and said it wasn't something he would ever do.

This led to McCollum trying to explain himself via Twitter. He answered a few replies and responded “I'm trying Jennifer” to one Twitter user when she told him to focus on winning a playoff game before he talks.

That tweet went viral and now McCollum is joining in on everybody's fun. He wants someone to send him an “I'm trying Jennifer” t-shirt as soon as someone starts making them.

The Blazers guard is cool enough to take a joke. Too many athletes get bent out of shape about criticism via social media.

McCollum said what he said about the Warriors and ring chasing. He's more than welcome to say it, but DeMarcus Cousins and Kevin Durant are more than welcome to sign wherever they want. There's going to be backlash either way.

But it's better to laugh it off like McCollum rather than slide in some random's DMs and start an argument a la Kevin Durant.

McCollum's fan base is probably growing from all his activity today. The Warriors are the villains of today's NBA, and some haters will latch onto any player who openly criticizes them. Add in McCollum's down-to-earth nature and a good sense of humor, and there's a player a lot of people can root for.

Someone send CJ a shirt immediately and hopefully, Portland fans capitalize on this by wearing “I'm trying Jennifer” shirts next year at the Moda Center. It looks like some have already been made.
