Portland Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard has been named the NBA Bubble MVP, the league announced on Saturday.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Lillard won the NBA Bubble MVP on a unanimous vote. Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker was second in the Bubble MVP race, with Indiana Pacers guard T.J.Warren third.

Lillard has played phenomenally during the NBA seeding games, guiding his team to the No. 8 seed and the play-in series in the Western Conference against the Memphis Grizzlies. Lillard averaged a league-high 37.6 points, to go along with 9.6 assists and 4.3 rebounds in more than 40 minutes per game.

Furthermore, the All-Star guard has shot a remarkable 40.1 percent from 3-point range, becoming just the second player in league history to post that kind of efficiency.

Coming into the seeding games, Damian Lillard was under enormous pressure to secure the eighth seed in the Western Conference, and ultimately making the playoffs. After missing two potential game-winning free throws with 18 seconds left in a loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, Lillard elevated his game to the next level. In the past three games, Lillard has scored 154 points against the Philadelphia 76ers, Dallas Mavericks, and Brooklyn Nets.
