Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers put himself in elite company once again after another historic feat. On Wednesday against the Denver Nuggets, Lillard reached a career milestone only one other NBA player in history was able to achieve. The six-time All-Star is now just the second player in league history to tally 1,500+ points and 400+ assists in each of his first nine seasons in the NBA.

Lillard's name is now up there with the great Oscar Robertson's in this very exclusive two-man club (via Portland Trail Blazers).

To those who aren't familiar, The Big O is the all-time leader in triple-doubles in the NBA. The legendary guard is one of the most complete players who has ever stepped foot in the NBA, and Lillard following in his footsteps is definitely something worth celebrating. Even though Dame is not the type of person who zeroes in on individual accolades, he'll definitely want to be proud of his latest feat.

But if you ask Lillard, it's safe to assume that there are two things in Robertson's trophy cabinet he's been eyeing: The Maurice Podoloff Trophy and the very elusive Larry O'Brien Trophy.

Damian Lillard has been on an incredible run once again this season as he tries to lead the Trail Blazers to their eighth straight postseason appearance. With under 20 games left, they are hanging on to the sixth seed with still a couple of games away from the fifth seed Los Angeles Lakers. It's the regular season's crunch time and we all know what time that is.
