Damian Lillard has to be given credit for being one of the originators of the logo shot. The Portland Trail Blazers superstar fortified his “Logo Lillard” reputation on Friday against Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets with two long-distance bombs to close out the third period of action.

Lillard did the Nets dirty not once, but twice (h/t NBA TV on Twitter):

No matter how many times he does it, these near-halfcourt bombs never get old. Apparently, even the Nets themselves are still surprised by Damian Lillard's range. They failed to close him out on both occasions and the Blazers playmaker absolutely made them pay for their disrespect.

It was DeAndre Jordan who got caught out on both plays. The Nets big man went under the screen on both instances and he did not close Lillard out quickly enough. As soon as Dame saw a bit of daylight, he fired away. This would have been a bad shot for maybe 95% of the rest of the player in the league, but this definitely has not been the case for the Blazers star.

You can't fault Jordan too much, though. Defending the Blazers superstar too closely from that far out could have easily spelled disaster for the Nets big man. Dame could have easily bust out a couple of crossover moves that would have left Jordan in the dust. Needless to say, guarding Damian Lillard is no easy task.
