Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers posted a photo of him and his son on social media. His former teammate Gerald Henderson tried to stretch out a jab but got a taste of his own medicine.

Check out how Lillard retaliated to Henderson's comment. Below is a screenshot of their conversation per the Bleacher Report:

It's easy to assume that the two were just playing games, poking fun at one another. Henderson, being an NBA journeyman, played one season in Portland with Lillard and crew.

In fact, despite only spending one year together as teammates, Henderson had a pretty big impact on the team. Lillard regarded Henderson as one of the toughest son of a guns in his team, even calling him a soldier. Per Jason Quick of NBC Sports, Lillard said after a critical game in the regular season:

“I told him at the end of the game … that he’s a soldier,’’ Damian Lillard said. “He is one of those guys when it really gets tough out there, he’s one of those guys you know you can count on. When the game gets a little rough, the other team gets going a little bit and you are up against it, some guys get quiet. Some guys shy away from it. But he got louder in the huddle.’’

Lillard and Henderson's relationship run pretty deep. Their exchange might sound serious and mean. But it's just a way of recalling their memories together as teammates and as brothers.
