The Memphis Grizzlies-Minnesota Timberwolves series was one of the most compelling of the first round. But in a lot of ways, the series flashed a glimpse of the newer generation, with the stars leading the way for both teams still in the early stages of their respective careers. Not everything about it rated particularly well with everybody, including Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard.

The Blazers star highlighted a certain basketball post on his Instagram story, noting that the caption on it regarding the Timberwolves-Grizzlies series was a “must read”.

There were issues both in terms of play and off-court antics that rubbed Damian Lillard. the wrong way. From the less “surgical” manner at which the stars closed out games, to the disrespectful postgame actions from both Ja Morant and Karl-Anthony Towns, the Blazers star apparently didn't like what he saw.

Morant and Dillon Brooks were seen dancing on top of the Timberwolves logo after their Game 6 win in a rather flamboyant display on their opponent's home floor.

It's hard to imagine Damian Lillard, or his generation's co-stars such as Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, or James Harden doing anything similar. The Blazers star doesn't indicate what exactly he's referring to from the IG post's caption, which laid out several points, but it's probably safe to assume he didn't appreciate the mockery in victory.

After all, Damian Lillard is no stranger to winning a playoff series, with not one, but two series-clinching game-winners in his belt. The most he mustered was a wave goodbye, but even that was on his own home floor in Portland.
