Portland Trail Blazers big man Enes Kanter has taken to Twitter to make his strong feelings against terrorism abundantly clear to the public.
Kanter has never been known to keep his political views to himself, and his most recent rant is something that we can all agree on.
TERRORISM HAS NO PLACE IN OUR WORLD!!!!!!!!!!
Hate will be driven out.
We condem the acts of evil that try but fail to divide us
LOVE will always win,
Hate will never prevail.— Enes FREEDOM (@EnesFreedom) March 15, 2019
Kanter is truly one of the more polarizing personalities in the NBA, and his involvement in the socio-political scene in his native of Turkey has gotten him in trouble on more than a few occasions. However, the 26-year-old's recent remarks is definitely a notion that we can all get on board with.
Article Continues BelowKanter is now plying his trade in Portland as a second-string center following a buyout deal with the New York Knicks last February. While he has taken on a less significant role on the team compared to the starting gig he had with the Knicks earlier in the season, Kanter is at least now on a winning team with postseason aspirations.
In nine appearances with the Blazers, Kanter is currently averaging 10.8 points (on 52.9 percent shooting), 7.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.6 steals, and 0.4 blocks in just 18.7 minutes per game.
His deal with Portland runs only until the conclusion of this season, which means that Kanter is set to become an unrestricted free agent in the summer. He is just 26 and is a double-double threat on any given night, so we would not expect a shortage of suitors for him come the offseason.
