Kevin Love would prefer the Cleveland Cavaliers to trade him to the Portland Trail Blazers, according to Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer.

Love’s name is once again being brought up in trade rumors, as ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported last week that the Cavs are “expressing a willingness to listen to offers” for Love.

Love would prefer to play for his hometown Portland Trail Blazers, according to multiple league sources. The Blazers make perfect sense as a destination for Love; they need help for Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum after the team has been decimated by injuries.

Love is making $28.9 million this season. He has three years left on his contract with the Cavs after this season ends.

A five-time All-Star and NBA champion, Love is averaging 15.8 points and 10.5 rebounds per game this season for the Cavs. He’s shooting 42.9 percent from the field, 35.7 percent from beyond the arc and 88.2 percent from the free-throw line.

The Blazers, if they are able to acquire Love, would have four dynamic scorers in Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum, Carmelo Anthony and Love. Portland might have issues on defense, but its scoring prowess with Love on board could make up for any defensive shortcomings.

Love has career averages of 18.2 points and 11.2 rebounds.
