Rookie forward Nassir Little of the Portland Trail Blazers has inked a multi-year sneaker deal with Nike.

Per Nick DePaula of ESPN:

Nassir Little is the 25th overall pick by the Blazers in the 2019 NBA Draft. He spent one year in North Carolina where he averaged 9.8 points and 4.6 rebounds per game in the 2018-2019 season.

In the Summer League, the 19-year-old played four games and put up 3.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 0.3 blocks in 17.5 minutes. He didn't finish the whole tourney as he suffered a minor shoulder injury.

Nassir Little, who's just one of the few rookies to partner with the sports apparel giant, also shared the news through his Instagram:

Other rookies who have inked a deal with Nike are Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies and Darius Garland of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Morant, the second overall pick, signed a deal with the brand before the draft. Garland, meanwhile, joined the brand in mid-July.

Analysts believe that his lack of a reliable jump shot in his college years was the main reason why Little was picked rather late in the draft. Despite this, he's expected to become a versatile role player early in his career. As such, the 6-foot-6 Florida native may get some ample playing with Blazers stars CJ McCollum and Damian Lillard.
