Jake Paul has certainly left a lot of people with some strong opinions now that he is a boxer. His venture in boxing has so far been very successful with him recently beating former UFC champion by knockout. Former UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub recently gave his thoughts on Paul competing in combat sports.

The former UFC heavyweight is good at seeing the business side of things and has seen the impact Jake Paul has had in boxing. The YouTuber ultimately has made a positive impact.

“I think it’s good for everybody.” Schaub said of Paul’s impact in combat sports since he started boxing, on the PBD Podcast. “I think you’re seeing a guy in Jake Paul, who’s bringing in attention to fighter pay. [He’s] showing that he controls his own destiny. It’s his production. He’s getting the benefits from all of it. So I think if you’ll see… fighters are smart, they can take something and learn something from that.

“It doesn’t hurt Dana,” Schaub said of Jake Paul boxing. “UFC can’t be hurt. Dana’s brilliant. So he can’t be hurt, but you know, Dana, anytime there’s competition, he’s going to shit on it. But, I think [Paul’s] good for everybody.”

Jake Paul has actually tried to hurt Dana White and the UFC recently. It's clear that he doesn't plan on sticking to just boxing.

Brendan Schaub sees Jake Paul talking about fighter pay as a good thing but he also acknowledges just how big and powerful the UFC is. It's going to be interesting to see if someone competing in boxing will be able to affect pay in MMA.
