Denver Broncos quarterback Joe Flacco has been impressed with wide receiver Courtland Sutton and thinks he will be big for the team moving forward.

In the teams Week 1 loss against the Oakland Raiders, Sutton was one of the bright spots catching seven passes for 120 yards. He is a big target coming in at 6-3, and 218 pounds and Flacco said he is a guy that he has already learned to trust.

“I thought he made some catches in traffic and had strong hands, Flacco said via Broncos Wire. “I thought he did a good job getting some yardage after the catch also. It wasn’t like he was wide open, but he’s a big physical guy that I can feel comfortable throwing the ball too in some of those situations.

Flacco knows as the years go on it's going to be important to have a significant receiver threat and he is excited for what the two can do together going forward.

“It was good to see him play the way he did and really rise to the occasion and get himself going. I think he’s going to be big for us obviously as the year goes on, but it definitely helps to have a big, physical guy like him playing well because it just makes everybody else go that much more.”

As good as Sutton was, the Broncos still lost to the Raiders, which means everyone can do a little more to help the team come away with a victory on Sunday against the Chicago Bears.
