Denver Broncos quarterback Joe Flacco is expected to be healthy and ready to go for 2020, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.

Flacco's 2019 campaign was cut short after just eight games due to a neck injury. During the time he was on the field, he threw for 1,822 yards, six touchdowns and five interceptions while completing 65.3 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 85.1.

Of course, the Broncos seem to be prepared to roll with Drew Lock under center next season, as Lock, who was a rookie this past season, came off the injured reserve list late in the year and proceeded to go 4-1 over five starts.

The problem with that is that Flacco has two years remaining on his deal and is slated to earn $20.25 million in 2020, which would make him an awfully expensive backup.

As a result, there seems to be a good chance that Flacco could be hitting the open market at some point this offseason.

The 35-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Delaware, was originally selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the first round (18th pick overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft.

He immediately took over as the Ravens' starting quarterback during his rookie campaign, and while he never made a Pro Bowl during his 11-year tenure in Baltimore, he did lead the Ravens to a Super Bowl championship during the 2012-13 season.

Since then, however, Flacco has declined significantly, leading to Baltimore trading him to Denver last March.

The Broncos went 7-9 this past year.
