The Denver Broncos were already going to have a tough time upsetting the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road and now that appears to be an even taller task. According to Broncos communication officer Patrick Smyth, Drew Lock is out of Sunday's game after leaving with a right shoulder injury.

It is uncertain to determine exactly when Lock suffered the injury to his shoulder. However, the second-year quarterback did take a hit from Bud Dupree on the team's second offensive drive, causing him to fumble the ball.

With that being said, Lock would exit from the game on the Broncos' ensuing drive after the fumble. As a result, Jeff Driskel has come into the game in place of Lock and will likely remain under center unless Lock returns.

Before sustaining the injury, Lock completed one of his five pass attempts for 20 yards. His lone completion was to Courtland Sutton — who returned from his own shoulder injury on Sunday — and Lock had the fumble as well.

The expectations for the Broncos were all dependent on the play of Lock this season. In Week 1, Lock performed decently, throwing for 216 yards and a touchdown versus the Tennessee Titans.

Early in the 2020 season, the Broncos have already had awful luck when it comes to injuries.  Besides Lock, Von Miller and Sutton have suffered injuries, with Miller set to miss the entire regular season.

Not to mention, Phillip Lindsay is expected to miss multiple weeks with a turf toe injury. For the sake of Denver's offense and season, hopefully Lock didn't suffer a serious injury.
