Denver Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders has spent the offseason nursing an Achilles injury he suffered during the 2018 NFL season. Fortunately, his recovery appears to be coming along nicely.

Recent reports suggest that Sanders is ahead of the rehabilitation process. He was able to provide proof with a video of him running in cleats for the first time via Instagram:

First time running with cleats on since I tore my Achilles. 🙌🏾 I’m proud of how I handled the process. I did no complaining or asking god why me. I merely said this all apart of my destiny. I endured the pain, I made the sacrifices and now I’m back running. 🙂 God is the greatest and he doesn’t make any mistakes. Ive learned so much about myself and people thru out the process of me being down. I’m grateful. Training camp is a couple months away and I’m looking forward to improving each day and climbing back to the standard of greatness. As cliche as it is it’s the truth. “ Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% of how you react it” 🤟🏾

The video of Sanders is a sight for sore eyes in Denver. Although he has long served as an integral part of the offense, his production had dwindled in recent years due to injury. He had been in the midst of a resurgence last year before tearing his Achilles at practice in early December. Fortunately, his progression indicates he should be good to go by the time the 2019 NFL season starts.

The Broncos have made some significant changes in the passing game this offseason after parting ways with quarterback Case Keenum and bringing in quarterback Joe Flacco. They also secured Flacco's potential successor in the 2019 NFL Draft with quarterback Drew Lock. Despite all the changes under center, Denver seems to be content with the state of their receiving corps.

When healthy, there is no question that Sanders is still capable of being a viable option in the passing game for Flacco. Regardless, the Broncos are hoping some of their young wideouts such as Courtland Sutton and DaeSean Hamilton can also step up this season.
