The Denver Broncos are holding a lead over the Tennessee Titans. However, they lost an important piece to their offense. Emmanuel Sanders won't be returning to the field and finish the game out.

Nicki Jhabvala confirmed the fears of Broncos fans when the wide receiver was carted off the game.

The most disappointing thing about Sanders' injury is the fact that the knee he injured may be the same one that he was nursing during the game's buildup. He will most likely be checked out the day after the game to assess the damage and see if they will have to play a couple of games without him.

His injury is a great loss for head coach Vic Fangio as he's a reliable weapon that the Broncos offense can count on. In the five games he's played so far, he's notched 307 yards and two touchdowns on 24 receptions.

This is all the more painful for the 32-year-old as he wants to keep on competing for the Broncos. He shared with Broncos Wire's Jon Heath how much he wanted to be involved in the team's progress.

“Obviously, I want to be involved,” Sanders said Tuesday. “I’m a competitor. I work hard during the week, but sometimes it just doesn’t go my way. I’m just going to keep chugging along.”

There aren't any updates when it comes to his injury, so fans are hoping that the damage isn't anything serious. If everything goes well, he can make a return for the team's big fight against the Kansas City Chiefs.
