The Denver Broncos dropped their first game of the season against the Oakland Raiders and quarterback Joe Flacco knows the team needs to learn from the mistakes they made.

Flacco was decent in game one, throwing for 268 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions, but there were also a couple of throws he missed that could have made the difference in this game.

Flacco and the rest of the offense's job doesn't get any easier having to face the Chicago Bears' defense this week, but he has confidence the team can learn from the mistakes and get better.

“We have a quick turnaround against a really good football team, so we have to learn from the mistakes we made,” Flacco said via Broncos Wire. “There’s nothing else you can say. We have to do it and we’re not going to have to put up that much time to get it done, but I think we will.”

“Just the way we fought and guys kind of stayed together tonight, I think we have the kind of guys that are going to be ready to go next week.”

Even with the struggles, it's a team that is confident and feel like they are only a few small changes away from winning that game.

Broncos coach Vic Fangio didn't seem super sold on Flacco's performance, but thinks there were some good things he did, and some bad things he did.

“I thought he had some really nice throws, and then some that weren’t obviously up to his standard,” coach Vic Fangio said Monday evening. “I’ll have to look at the tape to be honest with you, but I saw some really nice throws and I saw some that were not exactly where he wanted them to be.”

If some of the mistakes are cleaned up, and Flacco can hit on some of those throws, there is no reason the team can't be 1-1 after the Bears game on Sunday.
