Denver Broncos head coach Vic Fangio expressed his frustration with his quarterbacks Sunday afternoon.

Forced to place all four signal callers on the Covid-19/ restrictive list, due to their exposure without masks to an infected Jeff Driskel, the Broncos contemplated forfeiting the match as they were left without an active quarterback on their roster. While the team was ultimately able to sign Kendall Hinton–who last played in 2018 for Wake Forest–Fangio was clearly upset by the lack of judgment from the group of players, and what it cost the team.

“I was disappointed on a couple of levels in that our QBs put us in this position, put the league in that position,” Fangio said on the Broncos, via Andrew Mason of DNVR Sports. “We count on them to be the leaders of the offense, and they made a mistake … that is disappointing.”

While one of the quarterbacks, Drew Lock, took to Twitter to issue an apology for what he termed “an honest mistake”, this isn't the first time the Broncos ran afoul of the league's protocols regarding the Coronavirus. During week 2 of the NFL season, Fangio himself was fined $100,000 for his failure to wear a mask along the sidelines, while the organization was forced to pay out an additional $250,000 for the incident.

In light of the past violations, it is possible that the commissioner's office will view the Broncos as repeat offenders, and therefore subject them to heavier fines and the potentially take away draft picks.

If that isn't incentive enough for the Broncos to get their house in order, then surely being forced to suffer through the 31-3 annihilation they faced at the hands of the Saints without the QBs might be.
