The Denver Broncos are going to be inclined to start either Kendall Hinton or Royce Freeman at quarterback on Sunday versus the New Orleans Saints. Due to their dire situation at quarterback, the Broncos requested to have the game moved to Monday, only for the NFL to deny their request, per NFL Network's James Palmer.

On Thursday, it was revealed that Jeff Driskel, one of Denver's quarterbacks, tested positive for COVID-19. At the same time, all of the quarterbacks on the Broncos were deemed to be close-contact and high-risk players to Driskel on Saturday, ruling them out for Sunday's game.

Drew Lock, Brett Rypien, and Blake Bortles were discovered to have been around Driskel without masks on. All of them tested negative for COVID-19 and if the game were to be pushed back until Monday, they would be able to suit up versus the Saints.

However, the league has come to the conclusion that the Broncos didn't follow protocols in team meetings. Therefore, the NFL isn't going to postpone the game until Monday to give Denver a chance to get one of their quarterbacks back in the fold.

With none of their quarterbacks active, either Hinton or Freeman will likely get the nod under center. Hinton played quarterback in college at Wake Forest while Freeman is considered the team's emergency quarterback.

The league decided to postpone the game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thanksgiving until Tuesday due to an outbreak of COVID-19 on both teams.

But in Denver's case, the NFL isn't willing to let them push the game back with their quarterbacks apparently violating the league's protocols for COVID-19.
