Denver Broncos tight end Noah Fant left in the fourth quarter of his team's win over the Houston Texans on Sunday and was eventually carted from the sideline to the locker room.

The good news is that it doesn't appear too serious.

Speaking with the media on Monday, Broncos head coach Vic Fangio said that Fant just has minor foot and hip issues.

“I think he’s okay,” said Fangio, per Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk. “He got stepped on and his foot got a little bruised there, which is okay, and a little hip irritation injury. They’re still doing more tests on him, but hopefully optimistic.”

Fant had a terrific game, logging four catches for 113 yards and a touchdown before exiting.

The rookie, who played his collegiate football at the University of Iowa, was selected by Denver in the first round (20th pick overall) of the NFL Draft last April.

On the season overall, Fant has tallied 35 grabs for 492 yards and three scores. He has yet to miss a game, but his status for next weekend's meeting with the Kansas City Chiefs is obviously up in the air right now.

It should be noted that the 22-year-old initially sustained a foot injury back during the preseason, but it has not seemed to affect him up until this point.

Meanwhile, the Broncos are suddenly playing some decent football, as they have won two straight games and three of their last five to improve to 5-8 on the year.

The 38 points Denver scored against Houston was not only its highest point total of 2019, but also represented the first time the club broke the 30-point mark all season.
