Denver Broncos star linebacker Von Miller is under criminal investigation. While it's not totally clear just what Miller is being investigated for and what charges he could face, FOX31 in Denver reports it involves domestic violence allegations made by his ex-fiancée, Megan Denise.

The Parker Police Department confirmed it as investigating Miller:

“We’re not commenting on nature of the allegations,” Parker Police spokesman Josh Hans said, per Mike Klis of 9News Denver. “We haven’t completed the investigation.”

Denise recently posted screenshots of messages allegedly sent by Miller in which he essentially calls her pregnancy a mistake and prays for a miscarriage. Miller denied the allegations (via Radio.com):

The messages say things like “This is the biggest mistake of my life,” and “I'm honestly praying for a miscarriage.” Von has denied the allegations against him, posting an Instagram story of his own (which has since been deleted) calling the story “fake news.” Von and Megan had been in a relationship for the past several years.

Miller and Denise have apparently had an on-again, off-again relationship, but things appeared to turn rather ugly after Denise revealed she was pregnant.

Obviously, the Parker Police Department has yet to release many details. It would seem PPD is still collecting evidence and gathering facts.

Von Miller missed the entirety of the 2020 season after suffering a dislocated peroneal tendon in his ankle during a non-contact drill. He had hoped to make a triumphant return, but rushing back was pointless with the Broncos at the bottom of the AFC West.

Now, the three-time All-Pro could possibly be criminal facing charges.
