Kirk Cousins isn't the only name dominating NFL headlines on Tuesday and although the Denver Broncos look to have missed out in the Kirk Cousins sweepstakes—despite reports to the effect they weren't 100 percent committed in the free agent signal-caller—it doesn't mean they'll remain quiet.

According to James Palmer of NFL Network, Denver has picked up the option for wide receiver Demaryius Thomas.

“Hey Case Keenum, guess what? The #Broncos have picked up the 4 million dollar option on Demaryius Thomas. In doing so, it triggers the last two years of his deal. This was always the plan, but it has now officially happened.”

Thomas, 30, was the 22nd selected player in the 2010 NFL Draft by way of these very same Broncos. He's now been in the league for eight seasons, all with Denver, and that will continue with the 2018 season.

As a five-time Pro Bowler, Thoams has racked up a total of 8,653 yards and 57 touchdowns through the air on 629 receptions. Even better is the fact that he hasn't missed a game in six seasons. His only two injured years came during his rookie and sophomore seasons back in 2010 and 2011 (10 and 11 games, respectively).

Whoever quarterbacks the Denver Broncos in 2018 will have at least one thing to be thankful for. His name is Demaryius Thomas.
