Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski didn't reveal the length or extent of Deshaun Watson's injury to reporters on Monday, calling Watson “day-to-day” according to ESPN reporter Jake Trotter.

Watson left the Week 7 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts in the first quarter after taking a big hit. Watson was able to clear concussion protocol but remained sidelined for the rest of the game. This Watson's first game action since Week 3 against the Tennessee Titans, as he's been out with a shoulder issue.

Watson looked incredibly rusty in his first-quarter action against the Colts, going just 1-for-5 for five yards and an interception. Watson threw another interception on the play that ended his day, but it was brought back due to a penalty.

Watson's injury status and availability for Week 8

It's unclear if Deshaun Watson will play this upcoming week at the Seattle Seahawks for Week 8, and it's notable that Stefanski didn't confirm or deny that injured reserve could be a possibility for the Browns quarterback. Watson didn't appear to be anything close to 100 percent in his limited snaps in Week 7, but Cleveland has won two straight games in spite of that and may want to give Watson additional time to fully heal in an effort to have him ready for the stretch run.

We'll see which way Cleveland ultimately decides to play it with their franchise quarterback, but for now, head coach Kevin Stefanski is labeling Deshaun Watson as “day-to-day” moving forward.

We'll have more updates on the expected return and possible IR designation for Browns QB Deshaun Watson as they become available.
