We already knew about Baker Mayfield's hand injury, as the Cleveland Browns quarterback injured his throwing hand after hitting it on the facemask of Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Bud Dupree during the Browns' Week 13 loss this past Sunday.

However, Mayfield's hand isn't his only problem.

Not surprisingly, Mayfield popped up on Cleveland's injury report on Wednesday, but the report states that he is also dealing with a rib injury in addition to his bruised right hand.

It doesn't seem like either injury will keep Mayfield out of action this coming weekend, with the second-year signal-caller saying that “mama didn't raise a wuss” when asked about his health.

However, the hand injury was enough to keep Mayfield from throwing at Wednesday's practice. Even if he does play against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, his status is undoubtedly worth monitoring moving forward.

The 24-year-old is coming off of a shaky performance, as he completed 18 of his 32 passes for 196 yards, a touchdown and an interception in Sunday's loss to the Steelers.

It was the latest lackluster outing in what has been a 2019 campaign full of them for Mayfield. In his second year, he has thrown for 2,917 yards, 15 touchdowns and 14 picks while completing 60 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 79.9 overall.

This comes after a rookie season in which the University of Oklahoma product set the single-season rookie record with 27 touchdown passes in just 14 games and 13 starts.

The Browns entered the year with high expectations, but at 5-7, they are seeing their playoff hopes fade.
