Baker Mayfield and the Cleveland Browns put on an impressive performance in the back half of the season last year. After making a deep playoff run, this franchise is hopeful for a possible Super Bowl appearance in 2021. To do that, the entire roster must come together and remain consistent every week.

Even though Mayfield led the Browns to an amazing season, Cleveland's starting quarterback still receives criticism from time to time. He's likely to receive a massive paycheck soon, as the Browns view him as their franchise quarterback. However, Mayfield has a unique flair that separates himself from everyone, as he shared his opinion on his haters, per Pro Football Talk.

“I don't care what the doubters say. You have to have self-confidence. You have to trust the people in your corner. It goes along with setting expectations. You set your own. You live up to that standard. You have to hold yourself accountable to that every day. That’s the key to it. If you get caught up on the outside and listen to the B.S., then I’d probably be done. So I just focus on me and get better every day.”

Putting up the blinders and focusing on himself sounds like the best strategy anyone in his position can do. Outside noise comes from anywhere and from anyone. Mayfield clearly has goals in the NFL and doesn't have time to listen to criticism outside of the Browns organization.

The Cleveland Browns are expected to be one of the best teams in the league. Mayfield has a great offense built around him, and there is hope that Odell Beckham Jr. bounces back in a huge way. Nick Chubb aims to be a force in the league once again, and the Browns defense is shaping up to be dominant. Look out for Baker Mayfield and the Browns next year, as this team seems focused, hungry, and determined to change the perception of the franchise.
