The Cleveland Browns wouldn't easily back down, not with their campaign on the line. Down by 16 with a little over nine and a half minutes left to go in the third quarter, quarterback Baker Mayfield connected with wide receiver Jarvis Landry on a four-yard play-action completion to give the team their first touchdown of the game and to cut the deficit to single digits.

The Browns were looking to pull off the upset and get to the AFC Championship Game for the first time since the franchise was brought back in 1999. They had an uphill battle, however, facing off against Patrick Mahomes and one of the most prolific offenses in the NFL.

Following a fairly slow first quarter in which Browns kicker Cody Parkey made a 46-yard field goal and the Chiefs scored a touchdown on a one-yard Mahomes quarterback sneak, the Chiefs dominated the second quarter. Down by a touchdown and two field goals was where the Browns found themselves heading into the second half prior to the Landry touchdown reception.

Baker Mayfield, Jarvis Landry and the Browns are undoubtedly one of the best feel-good stories of the campaign after making the playoffs for the first time since 2002. Cleveland, who finished with a 12-5 record in the regular season, beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL Wild Card round to set their showdown with the Chiefs.
