According to Cleveland Browns head coach Freddie Kitchens, Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield is not expected to miss any practice time with the hand injury he suffered in Sunday's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The injury occurred right before halftime in Sunday's game when Mayfield hit his right hand against the facemask of Steelers' edge rusher Bud Dupree.

Mayfield missed the last two plays of the first half, but would reappear at the beginning of the second half wearing a glove on his injured hand. Mayfield would later address the media after the game with his hand wrapped in bandages.

However, x-rays on the hand would later come back negative.

In the 20-13 loss, Mayfield completed 18 of his 32 passes for 196 yards, one touchdown, and one interception as the Browns fell to 5-7 on the year.

Mayfield, and the Browns as a whole, have been one of the NFL's biggest disappointments this season. After a rookie season that saw the No. 1 overall pick throw for 3,725 yards and 27 touchdowns while leading the Browns to the team's best record (7-8-1) in over a decade, the Browns were expected to be contenders. Especially after adding star receiver Odell Beckham Jr. in the offseason.

Things haven't turned out that way though as Mayfield has taken a step back in his second year. Through 12 games, the former Heisman winner has completed 60 percent of his passes and thrown only 15 touchdowns compared to 14 interceptions.

In the same vein, much-hyped offseason addition Beckham Jr. has only two touchdowns on the season as the Browns offseason has completely disappeared at times throughout the year.

Next up, the Browns have a home game against the division rival Cincinnati Bengals who, at 1-11, have the worst record in the NFL.
