All the attention the last few weeks with the Cleveland Browns has been about Odell Beckham Jr. and his absence from the team but the bigger problem might be with Jarvis Landry.

Details about what is going on with Landry is a bit sketchy because the team doesn't need to disclose injury information, but it appears he is dealing with some sort of injury.

On Thursday Browns coach Freddie Kitchens was asked if Landry would participate in mandatory minicamp.

“I do not know that right now,” Kitchens initially said regarding the possibility of Landry taking part via Pro Football Talk. “Probably not.”

Kitchens made it clear that Landry hasn't had any procedures and this is more of a precautionary move just to make sure he is fully healthy.

The hope is that Beckham Jr will attend the mandatory minicamp and there have been no indications that he plans to skip them.

Kitchens said earlier this month that he would rather have Beckham Jr. on the field, but right now it's voluntary so there is nothing that can be done.

“I'd rather him be here. He's not here. It's voluntary,” Kitchens said (via CBS Sports). “That's what the word voluntary means. He can decide to come or he can't.

“But under no circumstance am I going to say that I'm pissed off at Odell for not being here. He'll be ready to play and ultimately that's the only thing I want, for him to be ready to play when we start kicking off in September and he will be – I promise you.”

Hopefully, all of this will be sorted out soon and as long as everyone is ready to play once the regular season starts the hope is these are two game changers for the Browns.
