With the NFL offseason underway, the Cleveland Browns are doing a bit of pre-spring spring cleaning.

Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Browns have released four players: cornerback T.J. Carrie, linebacker Adarius Taylor, guard Eric Kush, and tight end Demetrius Harris.

Carrie, a six-year veteran out of the University of Ohio, played in all 16 games for Cleveland this season, making six starts in the process. The former seventh-round pick recorded 52 total tackles, four tackles for a loss, four passes defended, and one interception.

In his first season with the Browns, Taylor was used as a key special teams player. However, despite appearing in 15 games, the 29-year-old linebacker only registered one tackle on the season.

As for Kush, the former sixth-round pick started seven of 16 games for Cleveland in 2019. In six NFL seasons, Kush has made 19 starts playing for the Browns, Chicago Bears, Saint Louis Rams, and Kansas City Chiefs.

Lastly, Harris was a key rotational piece for the Browns offense in 2019. The 6-foot-7, 230-pound tight end started seven games for Cleveland. In 16 appearances, Harris recorded 15 catches for 149 yards and three touchdowns sharing playing time with third-year tight end Ricky Seals-Jones.

After five seasons with the Chiefs, Harris signed a two-year, $6 million deal with the Browns this past March.

With three of the four players released recording multiple starts for the team in 2019, Cleveland will likely look to add additional depth at those positions this offseason.

After a considerable amount of hype, the Browns faltered and finished the season 6-10, missing the playoffs for the 17th straight season.
