In the days leading up to the Week 12 matchup between the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals, there have been plenty of questions concerning the status of star wide receiver A.J. Green due to a nagging foot injury.

The Bengals have continued to remain optimistic about the situation, voicing that the hope is for Green to be able to play in Sunday's game. However, Browns cornerback Damarious Randall had a strong message for Cincinnati if the Pro Bowler is unable to play, according to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.

Green is listed as questionable but has been unable to practice this week, which has further clouded up his chances of taking the field against the Browns. This is quite a bold statement from Randall, but the 30-year-old Green has been the driving force for the passing game throughout his career. That has remained the case this season as Green has been putting together a strong campaign, posting 45 catches for 687 receiving yards and six touchdowns in eight games played.

Green is currently on pace to finish with 80 catches for 1,221 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns, which would mark the seventh time in his career he will have recorded 1,000 receiving yards and fourth with double-digit touchdowns. If Green sits again, the team will look to lean on third-year wideout Tyler Boyd, who is in the midst of a breakout campaign with 52 receptions for 685 receiving yards and five touchdowns. The fact that Randall is completely discounting Boyd's ability on the field shows he doesn't view him as being a legitimate threat for him or the rest of the Browns' secondary.

If Green is unable to play, the Bengals will have some bulletin board material to use for the matchup that could see them work to get their passing game going against Randall on Sunday afternoon. Until then, the Bengals will wait to see if their star wideout can give it a go.
