Browns safety Damarious Randall seems to be taking a step back from his promise that he would buy everyone a jersey that retweeted his tweet if the Cleveland Cavaliers were able to beat the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals.

Randall's infamous tweet is now closing in on a million retweets and could get even higher.

But during a media session with reporters on Wednesday, Randall said he didn't think the tweet would take off as much as he did and he was just doing it as a joke. This was despite his tweet that there was a “100 percent” chance he'd follow through on what he promised.

“I definitely didn't think the Cleveland fan base would go this crazy about it,” Randall said, via ESPN's Pat McManamon. “Obviously, it is a joke. Just to know how passionate this fan base is, it is really encouraging.”

He also said that even if the Warriors win he will do something for the fans of Cleveland because of the support he has received.

“We'll talk about this after the series is over,” he said, later adding he would do something for the fans regardless of the result.

Randall is actually cheering for the Warriors, even though he plays for the Browns. He said it's nothing against LeBron or the city of Cleveland, he just likes Stephen Curry more.

“I am not anti-LeBron,” Randall said. “I'm actually a big LeBron fan as well. When he's going against Steph, I would rather Steph over LeBron. But at the end of the day, they are both great, great players.”

Randall better be careful with what he says because James is the love of the city of Cleveland, and cheering for the opponents might just get him run out of town.
