The day after news surfaced that Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson was going to meet with the NFL regarding his 22 outstanding lawsuits against him, a bomb was dropped to the public. The lawyer for the 22 plaintiffs, Tony Buzbee, released a transcript from one of Watson's pre-trial depositions.

The first of the 22 women to come forward and make claims against the now Browns QB, Ashley Solis, had previously claimed that Watson touched her with his genitals. That left her in tears following the incident. Watson, during that deposition, admitted to her crying after the massage. He sent her a text message after the incident, saying ““Sorry about you feeling uncomfortable… Never were the intentions. Lmk if you want to work in the future. My apologies.”

The newest Browns star appeared to have a difficult time explaining why he apologized during the deposition, as noted by USA Today writer Brent Schrotenboer.

“Yes, because she was teary-eyed. And I was trying to figure out what was going on.  So, I assumed that she was uncomfortable in whatever reason.  And we talked about working in the future.  And so, I said, `We can work in the future.  Just let me know.’  And then I sent my apologies as whatever reason she was teary-eyed for.”

Last season, the Houston Texans decided to sit Watson for the entire season. The NFL did not have to make a decision. But now, as 22 different trials loom, which will undoubtedly take at least a year, Roger Goodell is staring at having to make a decision on the playing status of the Browns star quarterback.
