Deshaun Watson has been the talk of the NFL offseason for a number of different reasons. It began with trade rumors while he was still a member of the Houston Texas. He ended up getting dealt to the Cleveland Browns and was immediately awarded a massive contract extension. However, despite being cleared of criminal charges by a grand jury, he's still facing 26 civil lawsuits filed by women against the QB for sexual misconduct. Another recent report stated that Watson saw 66 different massage therapists in just under a two-year span, with explicit details about his behavior.

Watson met with the media Tuesday and responded to the latter report as well as the growing number of lawsuits:

“I don't think so.. At the same time that's more of a legal question that I can't really get into details about.. You'd have to ask my attorneys to confirm..”

The original report stemmed from The New York Times. The Times reported that Deshaun Watson booked 66 massage appointments with different women between 2019-2021. Watson's statement on the matter is the first time he has discussed it. In fact, he had not spoken with the media since March 25. Watson pleaded innocent in his March 25 statement as well, per ESPN:

“What I can continue to do is tell the truth. And that is I have never assaulted, disrespected or harassed any woman in my life.”

He echoed a similar sentiment in his press conference on June 14:

“I never forced anyone; I never assaulted anyone.”

Barring unforeseen circumstances, Deshaun Watson is expected to be suspended. The only question is how long the looming suspension will be.
