On Odell Beckham Jr.'s 29th birthday, the wide receiver was given the message that he would be released after the reworking of his contract with the Cleveland Browns. Per Ian Rappaport:

By lowering Beckham's standard salary to a minimum and paying the rest of his owed amount in a signing bonus, the ability for other teams to claim the former Pro-Bowler becomes much more enticing.

Though the 2021-2022 NFL season was supposed to be a rebound year for the wide receiver, this certainly has not been the case. Beckham's New York Giant days saw him earning three Pro-Bowl selections along with 10+ touchdowns yearly from 2014-2016. Yet, since joining the Cleveland Browns, continuous injuries and lack of consistency led to serious concerns about his ability to perform at the level he once did. Eventually, chemistry issues with quarterback Baker Mayfield and inadequate offensive production caused for the Browns organization to excuse him from practices after the trade deadline passed.

Various teams could look to grab Odell Beckham Jr. as injuries and COVID protocols have slimmed down the availability of top wide receivers. The Saints, 49ers, Seahawks, and Packers are all in contention on taking a chance on the former star. With the right conditions and chemistry, OBJ could be a massive steal for an organization looking to make a serious run in the playoffs.
