The Cleveland Browns have welcomed the return of star wide receiver Josh Gordon after being out for an extended period of time to focus on getting his personal life on track.
However, his first practice didn't go as anticipated after suffered a slight hamstring issue in his first practice on Saturday, to which head coach Hue Jackson voiced confidence Gordon can work his way through it, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.

Hopefully, we will work through that. A little minor setback, but we will get him out there soon.”
The Browns are likely going to move forward with this situation quite precautiously given the type of injury he is dealing with. A hamstring injury is something that could linger if not handled properly over the next several days, which could put his status for the season opener up in the air as well.
Cleveland is counting on Brown to play a major factor in the passing game this season, which would mark his first full campaign since returning from his suspension. In his brief time on the field in the 2017 campaign, he showed the same level of burst and explosive athleticism to be the same playmaker he was prior to his lengthy suspension for violating the league's substance-abuse policy.
In the meantime, this could open the door to the possibility of the Browns adding former Dallas Cowboys Pro Bowl wide receiver Dez Bryant. The Browns recently brought Bryant in for a visit to see if they could work something out ahead of the 2018 season.
