At 5-7, the Cleveland Browns currently do not project as a playoff team. If they want to get to the postseason, they not only have to win out, but they also have to see a few dominos fall their way in terms of other teams losing.

Running back Kareem Hunt is trying to get the Browns rolling. Though he's only played four games with Cleveland, he has had an impact, as they've gone 3-1 with him in the lineup. The Browns will face the 1-11 Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.

“We’ve got to go out and play like we’ve still got an opportunity to go to the playoffs,’’ said Hunt on Saturday, via Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com. “I feel like that’s what we’re going to do and hopefully get these things rolling these last few weeks.”

Hunt, a Pro Bowler in his rookie season (2017), is not a starter in the Browns' offense; that goes to Nick Chubb. However, he has been a revelation for them, as Hunt's availability has coincided with wins in Cleveland. On the season, he has 125 rushing yards and one touchdown on 25 attempts while also hauling in 20 receptions for 118 yards and a touchdown.

In the Browns' offense, Hunt has acted as a blocker, receiver and runner. His ability to complement Chubb's running tends to give defenses headaches. If Cleveland does make a playoff push, he will be at the forefront.

The Browns signed Hunt to a one-year deal in the offseason. Previously, he was a star in the Kansas City Chiefs' system before his release due to a domestic violence incident. The Ohio native was suspended the first eight games of the season.
