Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett is calling out Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase for his comments Thursday. Chase's comments came ahead of the Bengals heading to Cleveland for their week one matchup

Chase seemed to poke fun at the Cleveland elf logo which sits at midfield on the Browns' field. “It's a regular game to me,” Chase said. “It don't feel no different. It's the hooting and hollering about the Cleveland, um, Browns. I was about to call them the ‘Elfs.' … If you ask me, I don’t really pay attention to it because Cleveland is Cleveland,” via Tyler Greenawalt of Yahoo Sports.

Myles Garrett jokingly responded to the comments, saying they went too far. While speaking to the press following practice, Garrett smiled while replying to what Chase said, saying, “He didn't have to go there. He knew better. We might have to have a discussion before or after the game, maybe during if I see him. Yeah the ‘elves' is a little bit too far.”

Though the comments and response were mostly lighthearted, don't expect these division rivals to play that way Sunday. The Bengals have been the far better team since Joe Burrow took over for the Bengals in 2020, but the Browns surprisingly have gotten the best of Burrow with a 5-1 record since he took over. Burrow finally got his first win over Cleveland just last December.

This game will be an extra special matchup though. Sunday's game is the 100th regular season game between the two rivals which will add to the motivation for each team to win.
