Former Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Baker Mayfield quickly became the talk of the town this season as the No. 1 overall pick from the 2018 NFL Draft notably led the typically dismal Cleveland Browns to a nearly even record as a rookie. Now, it appears as though the former Heisman Trophy winner has already been elevated to veteran status as Mayfield was recently seen having dinner with Denver Broncos pass rusher Von Miller and New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

Having dinner with a former Super Bowl MVP and the man who is responsible for arguably the best catch in NFL history in Los Angeles is quite a “welcome to the league” experience, no?

Here's where things get interesting, though.

With Mayfield and the Browns currently on a major upswing, the rumor mill has continued to churn regarding Beckham Jr. and Cleveland. In addition to the Browns getting better by the day at this point, Beckham Jr.'s former collegiate teammate and fellow wide receiver Jarvis Landry recently landed in Cleveland himself. After a stint with the Miami Dolphins, Landry was traded to the Browns before signing a lengthy contract extension with the franchise before the start of the 2018-19 season.

Although Beckham Jr. recently signed a mega-deal of his own to remain in East Rutherford as a member of the Giants, it is simply just more fun to spread rumors these days. “OBJ” is likely an immovable object for the Giants at this point, but could you imagine the tandem former LSU Tigers in Beckham Jr. and Landry catching passes from Mayfield?
