The Cleveland Browns crushed the Miami Dolphins by a convincing margin, but Sheldon Richardson is not in a celebratory mood.

In fact, there’s a reason to believe that he and the rest of the Cleveland defense is looking forward to next week when they play the Pittsburgh Steelers again. And they want Mason Rudolph to face the music once more.

He was made aware by the media after the game that the man who got Myles Garrett suspended for the rest of the season was benched to help the Steelers win against the Cincinnati Bengals. He was asked if he wishes to see Rudolph stand in the pocket during their rematch.

Sheldon doesn’t really care whether he starts or no, according to BrownsZone’s Scott Petrak. However, he does want him to be in the pocket when he gets to play the Steelers again.

“I hope he plays,” Richardson said. “I hope he plays.”

Why?

“Did you see him last game?” he said.

It’s understandable that the Browns are boiling whenever Rudolph gets mentioned. After all, he was the main culprit as to why their leading pass rusher was suspended for the remainder of the season. They’re not defending the man for his actions, of course. However, Garrett is their guy, and they will believe that it was actually the second-year QB who instigated the fight.

Given how badly Rudolph played against them (221 yards, one touchdown, and four interceptions), it’s unlikely that he’ll get the start. This is especially true after Devlin Hodges did a great job coming off the bench.

However, Browns players and fans hope they get to play him again so they could beat him down to the ground with their defense.
