Bruce Arians’ strong 4-word statement after Buccaneers slow down Jonathan Taylor
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers got the job done against the Indianapolis Colts. It was a slow start, but Tampa Bay figured it out and clinched the victory in the closing seconds of the game. Jonathan Taylor did his best to keep Indianapolis alive, but it was to no avail. Bruce Arians was extremely proud of his team’s performance.
According to James Palmer, after the game, Bruce Arians boasted “Nobody runs on us,” after the Buccaneers impressive win over the Colts. Tampa Bay is known to have a tremendous rush defense and it seemed to come through on Sunday.
“Nobody runs on us.” – Bruce Arians said that he’d take his run defense against any run offense. BA said that everyone ends up throwing a lot against them because of how good they are as a run defense.

Although the Buccaneers won the game, Jonathan Taylor still had a solid performance. He ended the day with 16 carries, 83 yards, and one touchdown. His 5.2 rushing yards per attempt simply disagrees with Arians’ postgame take. Taylor was incredibly efficient and proved to be trouble for Tampa Bay throughout the contest.
Maybe he’s just pumped up after the win and hasn’t quite looked at the stat sheet yet. Either way, this was a massive win for the Buccaneers, as they move onto 8-3 and now have a firm hold on the NFC South. Tampa Bay has seems to be coming together as a team after proving themselves against the Colts.
It’ll be interesting to see how the rest of the season plays out. The Buccaneers are in line to be near the top of the pecking order in the NFC yet again. Look for this defense to get it together with the playoffs right around the corner. If they can truly bottle up the run game, Tampa Bay will become one of the most dangerous teams in the postseason.
