The sports world was shocked to see Tom Brady choose to leave the New England Patriots for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in free agency. Despite the optimism surrounding the move, NFL legend Terrell Davis claims that it won't be an easy transition for Brady in Tampa Bay. He said, via 247Sports:

“I'm not the person who says you install Tom Brady in that offense…and it's all peaches and cream … I've seen it too many times, there's just too many variables that are not even within Tom’s control. We're talking about a 43 year old quarterback going to a new place. I know, people talk about Peyton Manning and Brett Favre, but they were in their 30s. Peyton Manning was 36. I’ve seen when Peyton came from Indy to Denver, the arm was good. But then, it didn’t just have a gradual decline, it fell off. Less than a year. They start the season off and it’s fine but halfway through the season, it was gone.

With Brady headed to the Buccaneers, Tampa Bay is now considered as a favorite in the NFC. The legendary quarterback is going to have an opportunity to throw passes to Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and O.J. Howard.

While fans are excited to see Tampa Bay's offense next season, Davis appears to be reluctant to say that Brady will fit well with the Buccaneers. In recent years, we've seen Peyton Manning switch teams later in his career to win a Super Bowl.

However, Manning was 36 years old when he chose to join the Denver Broncos in 2012, as Davis himself noted. Now, at 42 years old, Brady is hoping to prove critics like Davis wrong by hoisting the Lombardi Trophy with the Buccaneers next February.
