Apparently, everyone wants to play with Tom Brady. Free-agent cornerback Richard Sherman is visiting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Tuesday and TB12 has been trying to recruit the veteran. Via Mike Garofolo/Tom Pelissero:

Sherman, 33, last played in the NFL in 2020 with the San Francisco Giants. The Buccaneers need some help in their secondary and evidently, they could be turning to a proven CB who has Super Bowl experience.

Tampa Bay's rush defense is still very strong, but Bruce Arians' squad has struggled at limiting opponents to scoring points downfield. Cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting also dislocated his elbow in the season opener, leaving the Buccaneers with limited options at the position.

Frankly, this seems like a no-brainer for both parties. Sherman wants to win again and chase another Super Bowl, while Tampa Bay needs another player who can get the job done in their secondary. Sherman brings a high-energy style of play to the Buccaneers and is the ultimate competitor.

We'll have to see how the visit goes, but it's not like Richard Sherman has a whole lot of options to choose from, anyway. This would be his best landing spot. Meanwhile, Tampa will be looking to bounce back this weekend after losing to the Los Angeles Rams in a high-scoring thriller on Sunday.
