Tampa Bay Buccaneers star tight end Rob Gronkowski missed last weekend's reunion game against the New England Patriots because of multiple broken ribs and a punctured lung. It was reported that Gronkowski could miss more than just that game, and sure enough, the Buccaneers tight end won't play against the Miami Dolphins in Week 5 action.

Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians announced the news to reporters on Friday. Not all is bad on the injury front, though:

Gronk looked like his best self to start the season, catching two touchdowns in each of the first two games. He then had four catches and 55 yards in a loss to the Los Angeles Rams, which is when he got hurt.

While Gronk is out, it's good to see that Jason Pierre-Paul and Jamel Deal will be able to give it a go. The Buccaneers' defense hasn't been at its best so far this season thanks in part to injuries, so having those two in the lineup will be helpful.

Tampa Bay is 3-1 on the season after squeaking out a victory over New England. The Dolphins are just 1-3 and are still without starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
