The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made it two wins in a row following their thrilling Week 12 road victory over the Indianapolis Colts.
The Buccaneers had to muster up a 10-point comeback in the game as the Colts had their way over the opening half with a trio of touchdown drives. But in the end, it was quarterback Tom Brady that led the way for Tampa Bay in the second half, as he anchored four scoring drives.
In the chaotic NFC playoff picture, each game means just as much as the previous one for all four of the current division leaders in the conference. And for Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski, this was a win that he sees his team needed at this point in the campaign, which he touched on following the game.
“We needed that win — we needed it bad,” Gronkowski said. Especially on the road.”
The Buccaneers did not have much to go their way on the road coming into Week 12 due to the concerning 2-3 record away from Raymond James Stadium. But this road victory over the Colts could possibly be a season-changing one for Gronkowski and company.
Tampa Bay currently holds the No. 3 seed in the NFC playoff picture. For now, the team will look ahead to a road contest against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 13.
