When Buccaneers QB Tom Brady won his seventh Super Bowl on Sunday, the argument on whether or not he is the greatest player of all time in any sport was rehashed. While discussing the topic, Charles Barkley revealed why he has now moved Brady ahead of Michael Jordan in his all-time player rankings.

“It's hard for me to put anybody above Michael, but Michael was always gonna be the best player four out of seven games,” he said, via ESPN Radio Chicago. “But, the difference is every time Tom Brady played a football game, it was a Game 7. I never had thought about it like that. I mean, you think about that. Every football game in the playoffs is a Game 7.”

During his legendary career with the Chicago Bulls, Jordan won six NBA titles, with him losing no NBA Finals series in his career. But in basketball, Jordan got to play in a sport that plays seven-game series, which allows players to make up for losses in the playoffs.

On the other hand, Barkley argues that Tom Brady is the greatest player of all time in any sport due to the NFL having one game decide the outcome of each round in the postseason. And in his stellar career, Brady has gone 7-3 in the Super Bowl, winning more titles on his own than any franchise in the league.

The argument has seemingly been settled that Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback to ever play in the NFL. However, Barkley and other analysts seem to believe he's now cemented himself as the most dominant player in any sport.
