Tom Brady signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers because of the weapons they have on offense, but that does not mean Brady isn't still going to utilize his business acumen.

Apparently, Brady is looking to trademark the phrase, “TB x TB,” according to Chuck Schilken of The Los Angeles Times.

This came after the Buccaneers posted the phrase on Twitter once Brady signed with Tampa Bay last week (it obviously means Tom Brady to Tampa Bay).

Brady's application states that the phrase would be used on a bunch of merchandise, ranging from jerseys to shirts and even sleepwear.

The 42-year-old spent the first 20 years of his career with the New England Patriots, leading the franchise to six Super Bowl titles and establishing himself as the greatest quarterback of all-time in the process.

However, Brady is coming off of a rather rough 2019 campaign in which he threw for 4,057 yards, 24 touchdowns and eight interceptions while completing just 60.8 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 88. It marked the first time that Brady missed out on the Pro Bowl since 2008, when he was knocked out for the season in Week 1 due to a torn ACL.

Still, Brady's struggles this past year can largely be attributed to the fact that the Patriots had one of the NFL's worst receiving corps, which was on full display in New England's Wild Card round playoff loss to the Tennessee Titans.

Now, Brady will have Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and a host of other targets in Tampa Bay.
